Some creatures for the harry potter films took 7 months to design and create. When designing creatures that are already iconic it was important that nick found a different angle so that they were unique to the story and hadn’t been done before.

Each actors face would be cast and then the prosthetic would be sculpted onto the cast.

45 full goblin prosthetics were all created for harry potter, each makeup had t be different and hair added individually.

“We had to carefully monitor the designs so they wouldn’t look alike because we wanted to make them each individual. We then mass produced all the prosthetic pieces, but every one had to be hand-painted and the hairs of the eyebrows had to be placed one-by-one into the silicone. It’s incredibly labor intensive.”
