Weekly Evaluations

12/2/18-18/2/18

This week I brainstormed my ideas and visited galleries which helped inspire me in my project development. I am pleased with the ideas that I have come up with and stared to record in my sketchbook and on my blog. I have also put together a Pinterest board for this project and posted developments to my instagram.

My tutors told me to have a clear idea for the project and not to think about the format that it will be presented in yet.

19/2/18-25/2/18

I have made a strong start to my project, completing all of the research that I set out to do. I have made sure that I have a detailed time plan which will help me in keeping organised with my work. I am pleased that I managed to start developing my designs at such an early stage in my project as this will give me more time to explore different design ideas. I hope that I continue to work closely to my time plan next week and continue my research.

This week I continued with my development sketches which I annotated. This has helped me begin to think about materials and products that I would like to use in my final make-up’s. Due to illness this week I didn't progress as much as I would have liked and this has put me behind with my time plan. I will work to catch up on lost time with my project and make sure that catch up by next week.

This week I have made a start gathering materials and costume pieces which I will build onto for my final characters. I have also been planning out the construction of my mask for 'God'.

19/3/18-25/3/18

I have completed more detailed full designs for my three characters and planned my video scene for scene. I have also started to consider music and editing effects for the video.

To Do Next Week:

• Update time plan for final few weeks

• Spot weld crown, mask and spine

• Fully design masks and separate pieces

Feedback:

I have been told to research more into different methods to make a mask. I have looked into materials like paper clay which I think will be really useful.

26/3/18-1/4/18

This week I have made good progress with making. I have fully designed the pieces that I am going to create for my characters. I have started to do some spot welding so that I will have a base to work on when I go home over the next couple of weeks. I have also sourced more products and materials that I will need to complete my make-up's when I go home, including costume pieces.

To Do Next Week:

• I will continue sculpting and finishing the pieces that I started this week

• Style the wigs and hair pieces

• Create devil horns

• Mid project evaluation

Feedback:

This week I was told that I won't have enough time to produce three characters which I have designed. I should choose one and show the design work for the rest. However, I feel that doing this will take away from my final video so I am going to produce as much as I can in the time I've got.

2/4/18-15/4/18

For the couple of weeks I was home I worked in a very focused way and managed to complete all of the remaining practical (non computer) work that I needed to do. I am happy that I managed to catch up with my time plan as this will relieve some stress and allow me to focus a lot in the last couple of weeks on editing my video and posters.

• Start to edit footage on premiere

• Photoshop final images and design posters

16/4/18-22/4/18

This week I was able to review all of the footage that I filmed and the images I took to select the ones that I waned to use. I watched tutorials on linder.com to learn more about adobe premiere pro. When I started to edit my video I realised I was missing a few seconds of footage that would help the video run more smoothly. I managed to film these clips and add them into my video.

I posted my final posters and video onto my instagram and received very positive feedback.
